the half poplar tree
the heart of our b&b is the mezzo pioppo (half poplar tree).
we admire it every day to remind of how it all began.
despite having faced many storms and several lightening strikes over the years, it has never given up.
it has become our symbol of home, positivity.
it’s an invitation to never give up.
with its strength, resilience, and vitality, it always reminds us
that we are strong enough to face any adversity. it’s always worth enduring and existing. it reminds us that it’s always worth sharing a bit of our Magic with those who need it.
that’s how the idea of opening the b&b come about, precisely to share some of this Magic with everyone!
the Nature around us
surrounding the b&b, there are 16 hectares of land, mostly woodland or shrub pasture. that’s just fine: it’s a great place for many wild animals to live. the land used to be part of a hunting reserve. as soon as i acquired it, i made sure to exclude the entire property. in the area in front of the house, i created small flower beds with the help of my brother and my partner. i will let the rest grow naturally, planning to mow as little as possibile so that wild plants can spread and flowers can multiply. for this reason, i’ve limited car access to the small road, preventing parking in front of the house. i hope a short walk won’t be a problem for you, and i hope that enjoying the view without the sight of a car will be a pleasant experiance.
where we are
here we are in posola, a small hamplet of garbagna, a municipality in the province of alessandria, nestled among the green tortona hills of the val grue, where we can fully enjoy the colors and sounds of Nature.
it was this magical place that inspired our project!
our philosophy
for cleaning the b&b we will use only natural cleaners
(water, vinegar, baking soda) and some eco-friendly detergents.
the same philosophy applies to washing sheets and towels:
we will use low temperatures and natural detergents.
we have decided not to iron anything to avoid wasting,
and also because it is fundamentally unnecessary
(you can sleep comfortably on the bed, and even towels will naturally return to a non-ironed state after the firts use).
i won’t be handling these tasks myself,
but rather some wonderful people
who will assit me and provide invaluable help.
make a difference
the detergents we use for washing the sheets are natural. therefore, we ask you, for example, not to let your dog sleep on the bed… it makes cleaning more difficult!
don’t wante resources unnecessarily! for instance, use water sensibly, turn off the lights when you don’t need them… pay attention to small actions (which, in the end, are not so small…).
help us avoid waste! embrance our philosophy too!
who i am
ny name is roberto carlo coen tanugi (a rather long name, i admit). i was born in busto arsizio on april 15, 1964. i currently reside in the milan province (unfortunately, and for the moment).
i am in love with posola. to me, it’s a magical place full of good Energy. i’m a bit of an original character (but who isn’t unique in their own way?). i have my own ideas about what’s right to do and how to do it.
i’m just starting out and inexperienced, so i would be very happy to hear any thoughts and advice you may have!
